now that brittany and brian are happily married, i can share britanny's bridals from a few weeks ago!
one of my friends at work invited me to do their family portraits this summer at a beautiful plantation home that their family owns. as soon as i saw the house, i knew i wanted to use it for bridals one day! and when brittany didn't have a particular location in mind (and we were trying to photograph during the late winter/early spring) the house seemed like a perfect idea. sure enough, it was pouring the day of her bridals, but we got plenty of great shots in the house.
i've been really into silhouettes lately--love this!
the house is still furnished with a lot of great period-style pieces, so we took advantage of these awesome chairs and beautiful lighting.
and in case you couldn't tell, brittany loved textures and wanted me to edit the photos using textures and different styles. i had a great time with these!
the rainy day actually provided the best light coming in through those windows.
also one of my favorite "dramatic ones"
and probably my favorite overall. as soon as i saw this piece of furniture, i knew we had to use it!
doing all of these weddings this summer has let me explore bridal portrait photography, and i have to say--i'm really enjoying it! i've got a couple more coming up for my may and july brides, so keep looking for those!
