we take the dog--eager to get out of the house and go for a car ride--and stop through the starbucks drive-thru for a special treat. (i can't tell you the last time i had starbucks--we've cut back on it a lot lately.)
then we drive through some of our favorite neighborhoods to look at the lights and fun yard displays...
we listen to Christmas music and sing to all of the songs...
and ooooh and aaaaah over the pretty lights and hold hands and say hello to Santa before heading home.
and to me, it doesn't get much better than that.simple pleasures, right?
